About Me
Johan (he/him) is a Hispanic Studies and Economics major from Minneapolis, Minnesota. On campus you can find him studying by the fireplace in Peters Hall, cooking pizza at Pyle Inn Co-op or biking around wearing a warm Norwegian sweater. He enjoyed teaching local Kindergarteners at Eastwood Elementary through the SITES (Spanish in the Elementary Schools) program and hosted a roundtable radio show and podcast, about local and national news on WOBC. Interviews with David Sedaris, Robert Krulwich, Peggy Orenstein, Alex Blumberg, and President Ambar were journalistic highlights. A committed environmentalist, he served as sustainability liaison for Student Senate and was a proud member of the Green Edge Fund Board. He studied abroad in Cuba during Fall semester 2018 and in Amsterdam as a 2019 Humanity In Action Fellow. Many thanks to the wonderful friends, professors, and staff at Oberlin who made four years so special!
