About Me

I started at Oberlin in 2016, and am a voice major in the Conservatory. I have been in OSCA, more specifically Pyle, for three years, and have been a breadmaker for all three years. I have found some of my closest friends from the Conservatory and OSCA. I've grown so much as a person because of this. I cooked for 120 people every week, and have taken so many leadership roles because of Pyle. I am so thankful for all the Conservatory and Pyle has done for me.

Study Abroad

No!

Favorite Place

The Con Library! I never got much work done in there if I am being honest, but I always saw my friends there and it led to lots of laughter and spontaneous coffee dates.

Favorite Class

Interpretation of Art Song with Thomas Bandy. There was so much one-on-one learning, and I learned so much from Professor Bandy. He taught so well and really made his office a safe and inclusive environment. I have taken so many other classes with him, including Lied, German Diction, and Italian Diction. He is my favorite Professor and I am so honored to have worked with him!

Notable Quote

"After all, one can't complain. I have my friends" - Eeyore, Winnie the Pooh

Memorable Oberlin Moment

During the final week of classes, I performed a song from my senior recital (It was called Goodnight Moon) with one of my good friends accompanying me on it. We performed it for most of our close friends, and it was a really special moment to share that music with everyone around us. We were all really grateful for each other in that moment. It made me think about how much I've grown during my time at Oberlin, and how lucky I was to be surrounded by such wonderful and beautiful people and so much love.

Graduation Date

Future Plans

I am taking a gap year, and plan on applying to grad school for a voice/opera degree during that gap year.
