About Me

Max Finkelpearl is a High Honors Politics major from Washington, DC with minors in East Asian Studies and History. His interests include urban politics, urban planning, and transportation. Max explored Oberlins architectural history, digging up blueprints in the archives on the long-abandoned Crane swimming pool for the Oberlin Review. When not pestering his friends to sneak into the campuss basements and roofs, Max could be found availing himself of all the amazing concerts Oberlin had to offer from the Cat and the Sco to his friends recitals. Max worked as an Analyst in Prof. Eve Sandbergs Oberlin Research Group political consulting program. He worked for the Office of Admissions as a student interviewer and campus tour guide, logging countless miles walking backwards. He was also a member of the Student Union Board and Student Senates Capital Projects and Campus Infrastructure Committee. Last summer, Max interned in DC for Congresswoman Xochitl Torres Small of New Mexico.
